The story deals with an issue that many people feel passionately about. I think that I make my own position perfectly clear. I was, am and always will be fervent supporter of a woman’s right to choose. I refuse anyone the right to judge those women who have found themselves in such a situation. I vehemently refuse anyone the right to apply his/her religious beliefs to another person’s morality. I have no wish to upset anyone with this story. If you think it will upset you, don’t read it.
I should also warn you that there are some scenes in this that are not for the squeamish!

This is the first of a trilogy about Starsky's early years. It started with a challenge to write a story about Independence Day (the story is on the Short Stories page). I got to thinking about the "curly headed little tyke" and how he became Sergeant David Starsky of BCPD.
